RISK
The Risk group is responsible for credit, market and operational risk, model risk, independent liquidity risk, and insurance throughout the firm.

YOUR IMPACT
As a member of the Regulatory and Analytics (R&A)Team within CRMA, you will play a key role in the credit risk management function and overall capital management process at Goldman Sachs. The R&A team is responsible for the firm's credit risk-related reporting to senior management as well as to external stakeholders such as regulators and investors. The team aggregates and analyzes current and potential credit exposures to identify and highlight notable trends and concentrations. The team also executes and analyzes the results of stress tests designed to quantify exposures that might arise under unlikely but plausible market conditions or in response to potential geopolitical events for both risk management and regulatory purposes. Finally, the team is responsible for aspects of the firm's credit risk-related regulatory requirements including risk based capital requirements (Basel III), supervisory stress-testing and capital adequacy analysis, and various elements of regulatory reform.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS
HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL

Lead the development and generation of credit exposure reports, using a combination of proprietary systems and off-the-shelf software:

  • Understanding fundamental risk metrics and drivers of credit risk
  • Defining data requirements and sourcing necessary data
  • Implementing controls and conducting reviews to ensure data quality
  • Presenting analysis and narrative to senior management and regulators
  • Engaging in dialogue with subject matter experts to explain trends
  • Responding to requests for ad-hoc analysis based on market events or credit concerns
Conducting stress tests and scenario analyses to understand credit risk implications Leading projects and processes related to regulatory deliverables:
  • Managing CRMA's contributions to Basel III, CCAR and internal risk-based capital assessments
  • Interacting with Regulatory Controllers & Policy as well as other stakeholders to ensure the accuracy of credit risk capital calculations and input risk parameters
  • Quantifying risk parameters (exposure at default / probability of default / loss given default) for use in risk-based capital requirements
  • Interacting with regulators on credit risk management topics
  • Assessing capital and regulatory implications of prospective transactions
  • Interpreting regulatory rules and contributing to policy-related decision making and advocacy Leading technology initiatives related to exposure measurement, analytics, stress testing, and capital adequacy


SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WE ARE LOOKING FOR
  • 5 years + experience in Credit Risk, Regulatory Risk Management or development/management of collateral and liquidity risk frameworks
  • Strong quantitative skills and experience with data manipulation/analysis
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and writing skills
  • Process orientation
  • Organized and detail-oriented with ability to work on multiple projects under demanding timelines
  • Strategic thinker capable of understanding long-term impacts of decisions
  • Ability to interact with people across many different areas of the firm and various levels of seniority
