Our client is one of the leading MNCs within the commercial sector, with a strong market presence across Asia Pacific. They are currently seeking a General Manager to lead regional enterprise architecture, software development and business application strategy across the organization.

Your new role

• Lead the overall Enterprise Architecture and oversee the IT Applications function, ensuring technology solutions align with business objectives and long-term digital transformation goals.
• Lead and govern enterprise architecture and application strategies across multiple markets within the Asia Pacific region.
• Establish and govern enterprise-wide software development best practices, covering solution design, development, testing, quality assurance, release management, and CI/CD processes.
• Drive architecture governance, technology standards, application modernisation, and system integration initiatives.
• Oversee the full lifecycle of enterprise applications, including ERP, HRIS, Business Intelligence, Data & Analytics platforms, and other mission-critical business systems.
• Partner with senior business stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable technology solutions.
• Lead enterprise application roadmaps and ensure alignment across business units and technology teams.
• Manage internal application development teams and external vendors to ensure successful project delivery and operational excellence.
• Establish application governance frameworks covering security, scalability, performance, and reliability.
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders across Hong Kong and regional offices to support business growth and operational excellence.
• Lead and mentor a sizeable technology team while fostering a high-performance and collaborative culture.

What you'll need to succeed

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 15-20 years of experience across Enterprise Architecture, Software Engineering, IT Applications, Digital Transformation, and broader technology leadership functions.
• Proven experience leading enterprise-scale software development functions, including solution architecture, development, testing, and CI/CD practices.
• Strong experience managing enterprise applications such as ERP, HRIS, Business Intelligence, Data & Analytics platforms, and other business-critical systems.
• Strong understanding of enterprise architecture principles, application integration, software engineering best practices, and digital transformation initiatives.
• Experience within large commercial organisations is highly preferred, particularly within Property & Real Estate, Hospitality, FMCG, Retail, or similar enterprise environments.
• Hands-on experience supporting regional stakeholders and technology initiatives across Asia Pacific. Exposure to Mainland China and Singapore markets would be considered a strong advantage.
• Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills, with the ability to influence senior business leaders and bridge business and technology objectives.
• Demonstrated experience leading sizeable technology teams, with prior responsibility for managing a minimum of 10 team members.
• Fluent English and Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin) communication skills are essential, and near-native English proficiency is highly preferred.
