Our client, a global top-tier commodity trader is looking to hire a Junior Analyst for their Middle Distillates trading desk in London. No prior commodity experience is necessary, although you must have a background in Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning / Predictive Modelling (academic is fine). This is a fantastic opportunity to build your career within the commodity trading markets, and take the lead on creating systematic capabilities for this desk.

The role will support an experienced Distillates trading team across physical and financial products with the following tasks:

- Developing, maintaining and running shiptracking model
- Automisation of the model; development of functionality using machine learning/predictive modelling
- Assisting with research, contributing to trade ideas and strategy

You must have exceptional attention to detail and a real entrepreneurial mindset. A quantitative background is essential as is strong development skills in Python and SQL. You should have experience in database design/administration as well as artificial intelligence / machine learning / predictive modelling.
