You'll be working for a water distribution utility owned by five shareholding councils. It has an asset base of $6 billion and services a population of 1.5 million residents and over 31,000 commercial customers, across a geographical area that stretches from the Queensland/NSW border, west to Gatton, north to Kilcoy and east to Moreton.
Your new role
The Solution Architect - Infrastructure will develop comprehensive technical roadmaps, frameworks, and solutions to ensure the effective integration and optimisation of systems, processes, and technologies across the organisation. This includes providing technical leadership and expertise to ensure alignment with industry best practices, regulatory standards, and business requirements.
What you'll need to succeed
- 6 - 10 years of substantial general work experience together with comprehensive job-related experience in enterprise IT environments and own area of expertise to fully competent level.
- Demonstrated experience as an Infrastructure or Solution Architect working on medium to large enterprise projects or programs.
- Demonstrated experience in preparing costed design of infrastructure solutions.
- Demonstrated experience with both written and verbal communication with technical and nontechnical audiences.
- Bachelor's or Post Graduate degree in relevant subject area (Information Technology or a related field).
- Virtualisation Certification - e.g. VMware Certified Professional (VCP), Citrix Certification
- Cloud Infrastructure Certification - e.g. Azure Certification
- Up to 10 years of experience in a related role.
- Demonstrated experience with the design of Information Technology infrastructure solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to work at both high level conceptual and detailed technical level depending on context and audience.
