DWS is seeking an Oracle Middleware Technical Lead to lead the planning and architecture of a major Oracle WebLogic 12.2.x to 14.x upgrade program for a leading energy organisation.
This role will be responsible for ensuring the target architecture remains Oracle-supported, upgradeable, and aligned to future-state patterns. The initial engagement will focus on planning, architecture, uplift strategy, and delivery preparation.

Length: Initial 3 months, with an extremely high likelihood of extension (planning phase initially, followed by an anticipated 12-month execution program)
Style: Hybrid; 3+ days onsite
Salary: Up to $195,000 package (inclusive of super)

Key responsibilities include:

• WebLogic 12.2.x to 14.x migration planning and execution
• Domain design and architecture
• Cluster design and optimisation
• Node Manager configuration and governance
• Managed Server architecture
• JMS and JDBC design patterns
• Deployment automation and release processes
• Multi-environment patterns across Dev, Test, PreProd and Production
• Oracle Support engagement and Service Request management
• Development of future upgrade patterns and sustainable platform standards

To be successful, you will bring:

• Expert knowledge of Oracle WebLogic Server architecture and administration
• Strong experience leading complex middleware upgrade and migration programs
• Significant experience designing highly available, supportable enterprise platforms
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and technical leadership capability
• Strong understanding of automation, environment management and operational support models
• Ability to engage effectively with Oracle and manage support outcomes
