Your new company
The company is a multi-hundred million dollar turnover supplier of food. They are privately owned and located in Sydney's West. The organisation consists of multiple divisions enabling them to service both large and small clients efficiently, constantly introducing new products to market with over 20,000 SKUs currently.
Your new role
You will be their Financial Accountant for the next 12 months in a fixed-term contract covering for an employee on parental leave. They are due to begin leave in June which will allow for an ample handover and training. The role will report to the Financial Controller. You will be responsible for:
- Preparing periodic, half-year and yearly reporting including variance analysis
- End of month group reporting
- Preparation of management reports
- Preparation of tax and statutory requirements
- Assist internal and external parties during the audit process
- Prepare and distribute cashflow reporting
You will need to be a fluent or near fluent speaker of the Mandarin language as some of the major stakeholders dealt with in this role are based in China. A CPA or CA is highly desired however not a necessity if your experience allows you to complete the role competently.
What you'll get in return
You will be employed directly by the company for the duration of the fixed-term contract. Your annual salary will be between $100,000 and $110,000 plus superannuation. As you're a direct employee you will receive benefits including Annual Leave and Sick Leave entitlements. As this is a parental leave cover position, there is potential the role could be converted to permanent however this will be discussed toward the end of the contract period.
