Your new roleWe're seeking a Principal AWS Platform Architect to provide technical leadership across a complex AWS platform environment.You'll define platform roadmaps, influence architecture standards, and guide engineering teams on cloud-native best practices. This is a highly visible role combining platform architecture, software engineering, DevOps, and stakeholder engagement.Key focus areas include:
- AWS platform architecture and strategy
- CloudFormation and infrastructure automation
- AWS networking, Transit Gateways, and Network Firewalls
- Platform services, developer tooling, and deployment workflows
- Security, compliance, and governance capabilities
- Technical leadership across multiple engineering teams
- Proven experience designing and operating large-scale AWS platforms
- Strong background in Platform Engineering, DevOps, or Cloud Architecture
- Hands-on AWS networking expertise, including Transit Gateways and Network Firewalls
- Deep CloudFormation and Infrastructure as Code experience
- Strong software engineering and software architecture capability
- Experience defining platform strategy, standards, and technology roadmaps
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive technical direction
- Experience within highly regulated enterprise environments is highly regarded
- Principal-level opportunity with significant technical influence
- Ownership of AWS platform direction and engineering standards
- Work alongside senior architects and engineering leaders
