ABOUT THE TEAM

Internal Audit is an independent function that supports Trade Republic in achieving its strategic, operational, financial and compliance objectives. The mission of Internal Audit is to enhance and protect Trade Republic's value and success by providing risk-based and objective assurance, advice and insight. We do this by assessing key processes as well as governance, risk management and the control environment within all business teams and functions. We report directly to the Management Body of Trade Republic.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

• Analyze and assess risks in risk controlling and capital/liquidity planning and assessment processes as well as in financial and regulatory reporting processes
• Identify and evaluate the effectiveness of controls designed to address those risks
• Prepare reports of audit findings for Trade Republic management, develop suitable actions/recommendations to findings identified
• Follow up of findings raised in previous audits or by external/regulatory auditors to assess whether these have been successfully remediated
• Monitor the developments and risk profile of the Finance and Risk functions of Trade Republic (e.g. Accounting, Regulatory Reporting, Risk Profile and Strategy, ICLAAP, Risk Reporting) and provide input for the audit plan and individual audit engagements
• Develop and maintain relationships with Senior Management
• Successfully collaborate within Trade Republic's Internal Audit team
• Plan and lead audits or drive and work as a team member on reviews and audits
• Develop work programs for audit engagements

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in audit, compliance, or internal risk management areas within the financial industry. This experience could have been gained at an accounting firm or in an internal/external audit function,
• Proven experience and knowledge on financial accounting standards (e.g., IFRS) and regulatory reporting requirements and/or regulatory requirements over Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment Process (ICAAP) and Internal Liquidity Adequacy Assessment Process (ILAAP) in financial institutions
• Structured and independent way of working, a very good understanding of processes and expertise in process evaluation and description while thinking out of the box
• Problem-solving and driving change by using innovative solutions is as natural to you as paying attention to every detail
• Ability and curiosity to work in an agile, fast-changing Tech company with a diverse and dynamic team setup and state-of-the-art communication tools
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in German and English, ease to communicate with stakeholders, both internally and externally
