About EMZ

EMZ is a leading European investment firm acting as a dedicated partner for medium-sized companies. Our activities focus on investments alongside founders, family shareholders and managers in France and the DACH region. We have a team of c.15 experienced investment professionals operating from offices in Paris and Munich. EMZ is majority-owned by its employees and has a base of European institutional investors. We operate sector agnostic and are able to invest from 50-150 million euros, drawing from our current fund of >1.0 billion euros

What we offer

You will be fully immersed in the day-to-day activities of private equity investing. A structured feedback process will allow you to grow and develop as you progress with the internship. During the internship, you will:

Gain a solid understanding of private equity transactions and investment structures
Work alongside investment professionals on live deal situations
Undergo a dedicated financial modeling training course (AMT Training©)
Improve your analytical and financial skillset
Receive a competitive compensation

What we are looking for

Our internship program is for candidates currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree with a passion for businesses and finance. In particular, we are looking for individuals with the following profile:

Intellectual curiosity and open-mindedness
Ability to take ownership and work independently
Effective communication skills in German (native) and English
Practical experience in private equity, investment banking or management consulting
Excellent academic track record at a leading university
