Job Summary:
The Post-Trade Application Team is responsible for the design, implementation and application support of HKEX's post-trade systems, including clearing and settlement, nominee and depository, collateral and risk management systems as well as our data warehouse platform for post-trade business.

Job Duties:

As System Development Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for application development and support for critical applications running under IBM mainframe platform. You will also have the opportunity to work closely with different technical teams, vendors and business users for development and production support of other new services to be implemented in our post-trade systems. Besides, you may be required to lead and participate in projects for new business initiatives or technology obsolescence on behalf of Post-Trade Application Team.

Job Responsibilities:

- Perform business requirement analysis, resource estimation, system design, application development, testing, system rollout and documentation

- Design and develop systems with mainframe and integrate with other modern technologies or platforms

- Conduct quality assurance review on system design and project deliverables

- Collaborate with other IT teams, business users and vendors on testing and support activities during the project development

- Assist supervisor in managing project risks and implement mitigation measures accordingly

- Adhere to organization policies and standards for fulfillment of compliance requirements

- Coach and supervise developers

- Provide production support and resolve production incidents

- Acquire and equip with the necessary technical skills to support future state of post-trade systems built in open platform with microservices architecture

- Undertake assignments and projects as assigned by supervisor

Job Requirements:

- Degree in Computer Science, MIS, IT or related disciplines

- Minimum 10 years' system development and support experience

- Solid development experience in z/OS, DB2, COBOL, CICS, Easytrieve Plus, JCL, CA-7 and MQ

- With knowledge and experience in following aspect is an advantage:

• Java, Javascript, Linux scripting, REST API and Springboot framework
• Microservices architecture and Cloud platform, including Kubernetes and containerized applications
• DevOps tools and practices, e.g. Jenkins, Jira, GitLab, JUnit, SonarQube, docker, etc

- Proficiency in System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology

- Strong analytical, interpersonal, communication and people management skills

- Possess project management skills and qualifications (e.g. PMP, CSM) is an advantage

- Experience in financial services industry or regulatory bodies is an added value

- Able to work independently and under pressure with tight deadlines
