We are mandated by a leading international bank to identify a US IG Credit Trader for their Global Markets business in Hong Kong. This is a newly created seat, offering a rare opportunity to build and own a franchise from the ground up within a well-resourced platform.

The Role

The trader will run flow credit market-making across Pan Asian accounts, with significant exposure to primary given the firm's busy new issue pipeline. Coverage spans Financials, Technology, Utility and Energy.

A proven US IG foundation sits at the heart of this hire. The firm will also consider hybrid traders whose books are weighted towards US IG with a secondary specialism alongside it, such as a roughly two-thirds US IG, one-third Asian IG mix, or a comparable US IG and SSA combination.

Who We're Looking For

1. Open across Associate, VP and Director level, with VP the likely landing point; a high-calibre associate or an ambitious director looking to prove themselves will also be considered
2. Trained at a bank with a deep, well-penetrated US IG platform in Asia
3. A track record in US IG credit flow trading, comfortable covering accounts across the region
4. Strong English essential
5. Genuinely motivated by building a desk rather than inheriting one
