What You Can Expect
As an Investment Operations Associate, you will:
- Perform reconciliations across various data sources to ensure completeness and accuracy of records.
- Investigate, analyse, and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Support the preparation and review of operational and client reporting deliverables.
- Monitor daily operational activities and escalate issues where appropriate.
- Work closely with internal teams and external business partners to resolve exceptions and improve processes.
- Maintain a strong focus on risk management, controls, and data quality.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and help identify opportunities for automation and efficiency gains.
- Participate in project work and support the implementation of operational enhancements.
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively within a team environment.
- Strong organisational skills and a proactive approach to ownership and accountability.
- Understanding of financial markets and investment securities, including bonds, equities, and related products.
- Previous experience in financial services, investment operations, fund administration, custody, reconciliation, or a related operational role.
- Knowledge of investment products, financial markets, or operational workflows.
- Experience with data analysis, reporting, or process improvement initiatives.
