Group Financial Controller

Our client is a large Swiss industrial group operating globally based in Canton Aargau. To reinforce their finance team, they are looking to hire a Group Financial Controller. Job main responsibilities

• Ensure the preparation & presentation of the monthly results/analysis to executive management and establish ad-hoc reports for different management levels
• Support monthly, half-year and year-end closing of the Group according to IFRS and Swiss GAAP FER requirements (annual report)
• Responsible for intercompany reconciliation during month-end closing
• Contribute to the implementation of continuous auditing
• Maintain and develop the Group reporting tools
• Assist and support the finance organization in accounting issues
• Project work on financial accounting/reporting topics and standard setting
• Drive efficiency in reporting and consolidation processes
• Support M&A activities and collaborate with the internal audit team
• Guidance and assistance for financial forecasting

Candidate profile requirements

• University Degree in Accounting, Business Administration or similar
• Professional Accounting Qualification (CA, CPA, etc.) is an advantage
• Several years of experience in group accounting and reporting, consolidation and controlling in an international environment
• Proficiency in IFRS and Swiss GAAP FER
• Sound practical knowledge in applications like consolidation software (e.g. OneStream, Oracle Hyperion, IBM Cognos, Tagetik), SAP R/3 and SAP BW
• Advanced Excel skills and interest in developing accounting tools and applications
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to work independently and proactively
• Willingness to face and understand business cases with multidisciplinary complexity
• Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
• Team player and interculturally versed
• Hands-on and result-driven
• Fluent in English, German is an advantage
