Application Manager - Trading Applications

On behalf of our client, an established Swiss bank, Swisslinx is looking for a German-speaking Application Manager with several years of experience in application operations, databases and operating systems.

Besides the focus on Operations of the implemented application environment in the core and trading area, the Application Manager will support the migration of applications from an on-premise to a cloud environment.

Your tasks:
- Actively participate in the management of the complex application landscape, particularly with regard to trouble-free operation
- Together with our team, you will support parts of our application landscape, such as Avaloq, SAP or trading infrastructure, and will be responsible for trouble-free operation.
- In addition, you will actively work on the migration to the new cloud environment.
- You will coordinate between support and development teams and support and advise users on application and process handling.
- You will analyze the technical processes of our software landscape and actively drive automation and simplification.
- Within life cycle projects, you will migrate existing applications to new releases and ensure a smooth flow of the affected business processes.
- You will reduce technical debts of the supported applications and update the documentation, operation manuals, or instructions of our knowledge base.

Your profile:
- Several years of technical experience in application operation of software, databases, and operating systems.
- Solid knowledge of technologies such as Linux, Windows, scripting in various languages (ideally PowerShell), and SQL.
- You are curious and have a fundamental technical understanding of DevOps approaches.
- You are interested in the automated deployment of software.
- You love challenges and solve problems independently and in a structured manner.
- You are fluent in German (minimum B2)

Ideally, you...
- have experience with cloud technologies and/or SaaS.
- are familiar with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) technologies.
- have experience with Ansible Tower.
- bring experience with Avaloq, SAP, or trading applications such as Apex, Front Arena, Ubix, and Adaptiv.
