Cloud Infrastructure Automation Engineer / Ingenieur

On behalf of our client, a global financial institution based in Basel, Switzerland, Swisslinx is looking for an enthusiastic, proactive candidate to work as a member of a team of senior engineers and architects as a Cloud Infrastructure Automation Engineer. As part of this team, primary responsibilities will include the implementation, maintenance, and support of enterprise-class software and services in a hybrid cloud enterprise with a focus on Azure and Infrastructure as Code (IoC). You will support our client's technology transformation initiatives in collaboration with various business units, IT, and security teams to facilitate operationally viable and resilient services. This will be an exciting role for the ones focused on Cloud & security in Cloud and interested to continuous learn about the cloud adoption within our international environment.

Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Support implementing enterprise infrastructure solutions in the public cloud, using SaaS, IaaS, and PaaS services.
- Responsible to contribute to the definition of and deliver services to support various automation and transformation projects across a diverse technology stack, with a focus on Microsoft Azure:
• Develop and deploy scalable, available, fault-tolerant, and reliable services on the Cloud using Azure DevOps and Terraform.
• Supporting efforts to replace manual effort with Infrastructure-as-Code.
• Implement and maintain core Azure infrastructure services including but not limited to virtual networks, storage, compute services, DNS, VPN, firewall etc.
- Apply Agile and DevOps practices within Infrastructure and Operations.

Must haves:
- Experience with Infrastructure and Configuration as Code using relevant tools and techniques (Terraform, GITHub Azure DevOps actions)
- Experience implementing security in the Cloud. (Azure AAD and Infrastructure)
- Fluency with automation tools and frameworks with demonstrated experience applying tools to improve efficiency. GITHub, Azure DevOps, YAML
- Fluency with code management solutions, in particular GIT and CI/CD tools, including integrating their use in common infrastructure management and deployment tasks

Interpersonal skills:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills, pragmatic problem-solver, quick learner.
- Demonstrated ability to work in small or medium-sized teams and foster cooperation across units and teams.
- Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision and take ownership when achieving assigned objectives.

Nice to Haves:
- Knowledge and experience with several core Azure cloud technologies, including M365, Networking, Azure AD, Azure Firewall, Azure VPN, and other Azure IaaS, and PaaS services.
- Strong Identity and Authentication knowledge, including AD/AAD and Federation, OAuth and OpenID.
- Ability to learn and adopt emerging cloud trends and technologies, across vendors.
- Azure and Hashicorp Terraform Associate certifications are a plus.
