Geomatician / Geomatiker/in

On behalf of our client, a leading engineering company in the construction industry, based in Switzerland, Swisslinx is looking for a Geomatician / Geomatics Engineer. Your mission:

- System support and administration of the GIS system in cooperation with external partners and suppliers
- Data modeling and handling using appropriate tools (e.g. FME) to provide existing data and interfaces for integration into existing processes and IT infrastructures
- Independently lead or collaborate on projects as assigned/agreed upon
- Team internal coordination and collaboration in the core tasks Geoinformatics (collect data - process evaluate/output)
- Ensure that utility plans for electricity, water, wastewater, communications and district heating are drawn up and continuously updated; with priority given to wastewater and water
- Create and output plans and network diagrams according to requirements of internal and external purchasers / users

Your profile:

- Completed education as Geomatiker EFZ with professional experience in the field of geoinformatics or further education as Geomatiktechniker with eidg. FA
- Good knowledge and minimum 5 years of practical experience in GIS applications and in data analytics
- Good knowledge of the GIS software ArcGIS, GEONIS Expert as well as the QGIS palette
- Knowledge of WebOffice and VertiGIS FM as well as knowledge of FME
- AutoCAD Civil 3D knowledge is an advantage
- Experience in recording / surveying & tracking of utility data
- Experience in construction and engineering surveys
- Fluency in English and good level of German
