SAP Basis Engineer / Ingenieur / Application Manager

As the premier supplier to our client, a Swiss Energy Supplier, based in the region of Bern, Switzerland, Swisslinx is looking for a highly motivated individual to take on a challenging role as an IT Application Manager SAP EAM utilities.

This is a permanent position and a hybrid working model is on offer.

Your mission:

- To coordinate all SAP Basis-related activities such as upgrades, downtimes or CRs.
- To evaluate system landscape adjustments and support its implementation.
- To coordinate downtimes and changes with IT and non-IT departments.
- To control service providers.
- To take responsibility, together with the rest of the IT team, for the architecture development.
- To advise on IT security and follow-up IT audits.
- To take responsability for daily system checks, troubleshooting and coordinating potential system problems with the IT provider.

Your background:

- Bachelor or Master in Computer Science/ Business informatics at the University or Technical College. Or equivalent training.
- Experienced SAP Basis professional, ideally with a focus on Netweaver ABAP, SAP S/4 and HANA
- Good knowledge of the support, operation and further development of the SAP Solution Manager for ALM processes
- Basics of ZBV, ALE iDoc, certificates
- High understanding of the SAP NetWeaver system architecture
- Basic knowledge of servers and network technologies and knowledge of OS Linux is an advantage
- Excellent consulting skills, flexibility, as well as communication and teamwork skills at all levels
- Independent, structured and goal-oriented way of working
- Confident in communication in German or French and good knowledge of English
