Desk Lead Power Modelling & Pricing

On behalf of our client, a leading European energy company, Swisslinx is currently looking for a Desk Lead Power Modelling & Pricing.
This is a permanent role.
- Work location: Baar, Switzerland or Rotterdam, Netherlands
- Workload: 100%
This is a revamp/build of the existing modelling stack from zero, it will be an interesting role.
Your key responsibilities:
• Build a power market modelling framework up to 10 years out.
• Evaluation methodology for a wide range of deals (smart charging, H2 flexibility, renewable PPA 'as produced' risk, sensitivity analysis, risk assessment, mitigation measures etc.)
• Convince the desks the models are worth using
• Support Origination in pre close meetings as the technical expert
• Run a team

Your profile:
• Minimum 5 years working experience in the European power sector.
• Optionality valuation
• Possession of advanced modeling skills in Excel & Python
• MUST HAVE experience in desk side/research team role for a commercial organization
• Ideally working as a team lead
