Middle Office/Risk Analyst - Oil Products

The team is responsible for Middle Office metrics assessments and controls for Oil Products sales, supply and trading activities. Our daily activities focus on timely reporting of mark-to-market, exposure, hedging performance and other risk metrics. We regularly perform quantitative assessments to support business needs and decisions.

Responsibilities :

• Perform various daily Middle Office activities in Allegro for Oil Products Sales and Trading business areas such as trade entry validation and other specified market risk controls
• Analyze trades and monitor market risk exposures of specified trade books
• Support front teams with follow-up of their positions, work in close contact with other departments like Back office, Business Control and Physical operations
• Identify digitization and automation potential, bring forward initiatives and participate in the development of market risk & middle office processes
• Produce regular, timely and correct daily and weekly mark-to-market reports
• Support the team in month end work and in the reconciliation between various internal systems
• Participate in the Allegro enhancement projects to address existing open issues and new business requirements

Profile:

• Bachelor or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting or similar fields
• Previous work experience as Middle Officer / Risk analyst preferably in the field of energy or commodities trading
• Basic understanding of commodity market exposures, transactions (physical and derivatives) and pricing elements
• Solid IT skills. Previous experience of relevant Middle office work utilizing ETRM tools is considered as an advantage
• Strong analytical mindset and problem solving skills
• Attention to detail, organized, result driven
• Ability to learn fast and prioritize
• Excellent communicator, open, responsible, good team player
• Excellent written and spoken English
• Swiss Citizenship, Swiss valid working permit or EU Citizenship
