Help our clients successfully manage global challenges

Our M&A advisory practice focused on the Swiss financial services industry (banks, insurance companies, asset managers), based in Geneva and Zurich, features a dedicated group of highly qualified individuals. All new team members get to work on live engagements and have the opportunity to make a real contribution to M&A transaction execution and origination from day one.

Our team has a long track-record of completed transactions (Deloitte Financial Advisory: The leading Financial Services M&A advisor in Switzerland) and of providing value-adding advice to our clients on a range of financial and strategic projects in the context of M&A transactions (both sell-side and buy-side).

How you can make an impact

  • Take part in a range of M&A transactions from start to finish for clients comprising both mid-market clients as well as larger Swiss financial institutions
  • Support senior team members in the preparation of various transaction related tasks including financial analysis, valuations, transaction documents and client presentations
  • Interact directly with senior level clients and internal stakeholders as part of the day-to-day M&A project management and coordination activities
  • Participate in a range of business development and team initiatives within the financial services M&A team but also with other service lines of Deloitte, in Switzerland and internationally

Who we are looking for

  • 2 to 4 years of prior M&A work experience, ideally gained at either an investment bank, an M&A boutique firm, corporate development or another Big4 firm, in Switzerland or overseas
  • Ability to work autonomously under limited supervision, including financial modelling and valuations, preparation of information memoranda or management presentations, handling of day-to-day client communication and transaction project management
  • You are an open and curious person and can cope well in a fast-paced and challenging environment
  • Existing knowledge or experience of the Swiss and/or international financial services industry preferred but not mandatory. If no previous experience, an interest for this industry is required
  • Fluent in French and English (both mandatory), German is considered a plus

Your team

As part of your duties, you will gain direct exposure to senior team members as well as clients.

You will become part of a diverse, multinational and highly motivated team. We will help you grow both personally and professionally: through our trainings, mentoring programmes and on-the-job learning, but also by connecting with your colleagues across all Deloitte business lines.
