Head of SAP Development

On behalf of one of our clients, a global company specialized in leading-edge tools, technologies, software and services in the global construction industry, Swisslinx is looking for a talented Head of SAP Development. As part of a high-pace strategic program, you will be responsible for their SAP ABAP Developer Team and will ensure the implementation of Global IT solutions. You will ensure quality delivery of their core applications on SAP S/4HANA and develop your own global team. You will own the code base and guide your development team consisting of internal and external developers leveraging Agile best practices and will be responsible for implementing the software architecture into detailed design, code, unit & modular testing and performance optimization on both backend and frontend.

Key Responsibilities:
• Leading the development team consisting of internal and external developers to ensure quality delivery of core applications on SAP S/4HANA
• Implementing the software architecture into detailed design, code, unit & modular testing, and performance optimization on both backend (ABAP OO) and frontend (e.g. SAP UI5, WebUI, WD4A technology) and actively participating in design and architecture reviews
• Managing technical teams in complex projects in a multinational environment (leading internal, 3rd party and external partners)
• Identifying the right technology solutions for their customers

Must-haves:
• Master's degree in Computer Science or similar
• 10+ years of experience delivering in a complex SAP environment with a focus on SAP SD module
• Good understanding of architecture principles and design patterns
• Experience in managing technical teams in complex projects in a multinational environment (leading internal, 3rd party and external partners)
• Analytical skills to draft development methodologies in a variety of different technologies
• Excellent communication skills, customer-oriented thinking, along with a strong drive for success and a high level of commitment
