We are looking for a Business Controller in Zurich to support a Swiss based Key Account (100%)
The opportunity
This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive, analytical individual to join EY as part of the Swiss central account team, playing a key role in the professional financial operations for our large, complex, global audit clients.
We are looking for a motivated finance professional with experience in a relevant role, preferably at a professional services firm, who values the benefits of an ambitious and agile collaborative environment, seeks to take ownership of processes and likes working with geographically dispersed stakeholders across all hierarchy levels.
Your key responsibilities
- Manage the annual budgeting, monthly forecast and management reporting processes of the Swiss accounts
- Build in-depth knowledge of engagement economics, perform detailed performance analysis on engagement and account levels for various business partners, including the local Partner group
- Collect, analyze and manage large data sets from global teams to support annual fee and regulatory reporting
- Improve the quality of existing analysis and reporting tools
- Work closely with EY’s overseas Global Delivery Service (GDS) team, delegating routine operational tasks. Supervise and monitor the work of the GDS function maintaining overall responsibility for task completion
Skills and attributes for success
- Degree in business or finance (University/FH)
- A minimum of five years of work experience as Business Controller, preferably at a professional services firm
- Ideally, first experience in leading a team or in supervising one or more people
- Fluent in German and English, proficiency in MS Office - Advanced Excel skills are essential, experience with Power BI is an asset
- Confident and assertive professional who understands the wider implications of account level business decisions
- Interest in innovation and continuous process improvement
- High level of integrity and accuracy and a commitment to deadlines
- Self-driven with a “can do” attitude
- Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to demonstrate initiative, flexible and independent working style within multi-national teams, planning skills, commitment and ability to work under pressure
