For our client, a globally successful asset manager and an absolute top-player in its field, we are looking for a Compliance Officer. Preferably with a minimum of five years of experience in the compliance and regulatory field with financial services and in particular in international asset management. Your Duties - Monitor the regulatory developments in Switzerland
- Create policies and procedures in order to meet regulatory requirements (i.e. FinSA, FIDLEG and AMLO-FINMA)
- Implement and contribute to the development and effectiveness of the control programme and oversee its execution
- Prepare and assist with the development of Compliance Reports that will be provided to senior staff (including presentation at Board meetings)
- Oversee and analyse the documentation for investment committees relating to the Swiss activity
- Creation of dedicated Swiss E-learnings on various regulatory topics and monitoring of their effectiveness
- Maintain relevant compliance logs for Switzerland (gifts, trading accounts, outside business activities)
- Prepare and submit regulatory filings for submissions to FINMA
- Engage as part of the Global Compliance Team, ensuring that global policies and procedures are met and followed accordingly
- Collaborate with various teams, promoting the development of a Compliance culture within the company to proactively raise awareness of regulatory topics and developments and their applicability
Your Profile - University Degree or equivalent education
- Minimum of 5+ years of professional experience in the compliance and regulatory field with financial services and particularly in international asset management
- Profound knowledge of general European regulations such as MiFID and AIFMD
- Experience at a Swiss Asset Manager and/or working with a regulatory agency is a plus
- You are featured with deep analytical as well as problem solving skills and are quick to connect the dots
- You thrive working in a team as well as independently and have a knack for communication
- You are known for your accurate, organized and proactive way of working and proof yourself to be resilient and flexible while working under pressure/ tight deadlines and handling several work streams simultaneously
- Fluent English skills are mandatory, German and/ or French is highly desirable
