Our specialised M&A Restructuring, Integration and Separation Team advises corporate leaders in the financial services industry to maximize shareholder value, leverage deal and restructuring best practices and bring the full set of sector and functional competencies  to our clients with our global Deloitte network.

As a Senior Consultant/ Assistant Manager in our dedicated and award-winning Restructuring, Integration and Separation Advisory Team (RISA) you will offer our clients advice on mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, operational diligence, value capture and restructuring.

Together with your team, you will assist our clients with transaction priorities and future growth ambitions.

How you can make an impact:

  • Work with a small specialised operational M&A team in Switzerland and advise financial institutions on creating value from the most complex M&A transactions by carving-out, integrating or transforming businesses, while setting them up for success in a post-COVID environment;
  • Work with the market leading FSI restructuring team, supporting clients globally to restructure their operations in the Swiss market;
  • Advise our clients across the M&A deal cycle from pre-close to post close: by conducting integration and separation readiness assessments; operational due diligence, operating income upside due diligence; determining stand-alone cost adjustments; designing target operating models and developing the integration roadmap to achieve the deal value potential and execute the integration; conducting complex carve-out projects; getting the business ready for Day 1; providing expert advice through functional perspectives in front office, operations, governance, compliance, IT or support functions, depending on your expertise and interest; 
  • Develop opportunities at clients, contribute to client proposals and support the development of our service offering;
  • Strong coordination and project management skills;
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to analyse issues, identify root causes and develop actionable solutions;
  • Strong track record of working collaboratively in a team environment.

Who are we looking for:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Management, Finance, Economics;
  • Prior relevant work experience (3-5 years) in Program Management supporting integration and/or separations, business transformation or restructuring with a focus on financial services;
  • Fluent in English and German;
  • Understanding of financial statements and corporate finance terms;
  • Functional knowledge in the financial services industry in one of the following areas is a plus: front office, operations, compliance or IT.
