Energy Infrastructures Partners
We offer a challenging position in the Origination and Transactions team of Energy Infrastructure Partners (EIP), an investment boutique specialized in private equity investments in the energy infrastructure sector. EIP is a pioneer in this field and acts as an investment manager for a number of institutional investment vehicles with around EUR 3bn assets currently under management. The managed investment vehicles invest directly in energy infrastructure assets, projects and companies that own, operate and/or develop assets along the entire energy value chai: from hydroelectric power plants, power and gas grids to solar and wind farms.

The Investment Analyst will be responsible for supporting both the execution of energy infrastructure investments globally as well as the origination phase of transactions. The role includes, but is not limited to, the following key responsibilities:

  • Execution and maintenance of financial modeling and analysis, company and asset valuations and commercial due diligence – both quantitative and qualitative
  • Coordination of sub-streams in the acquisition process, particularly due diligence work streams such as technical, legal, financial and tax
  • Independent delivery of inputs to investment memoranda as a basis for investment decisions of the Investment Committee
  • Independent research on specific markets and investment opportunities including the derivation of possible investment strategies
  • Support marketing activities, especially regarding fundraising activities, jointly with the Client Solutions team. This includes the preparation of presentations for existing and prospective clients as well as processing client requests such as RFPs
  • Working closely with colleagues in the Investments team to support the transition of investments post-financial close

  • Excellent academic background with studies completed in business administration or natural/engineering sciences with a bachelor or master’s degree (preferred) from a globally-recognized top-tier university or business school
  • 1-2 years of investment experience working on sizeable infrastructure transactions, preferably in the global energy sector, or recently completed university studies with a master’s degree and experience through internships from another fund, financial investor, or from a leading investment bank, boutique advisor or in the M&A team of an asset developer/utility
  • Strong M&A skills from first transaction experience and knowledge in corporate finance, including in-depth understanding of financial modeling and accounting
  • Strong analytical and conceptual thinking and ability to quickly familiarize oneself with complex topics
  • Independent, proactive, flexible and entrepreneurial action; therefore, self-motivating, and with a positive, can-do approach
  • Convincing personality with excellent communication skills
  • Fluency in English is a must; knowledge of German, French or Spanish is an advantage
  • Excellent MS Office skills, especially in Excel and PowerPoint

  • Motivating corporate culture and a dynamic entrepreneurial environment with flat hierarchies and team orientation
  • Competitive salary with performance-oriented compensation models and attractive fringe benefits
  • Building expertise in private markets and the energy infrastructure sector from leading experts
  • Attractive workplace in the center of Zurich
