The Job Opportunity

Become part of Business Consulting Finance and work within a young and dynamic team advising the CFO functions of national and international clients in the areas of Corporate Transformation, Digital Finance, Enterprise Performance Management and Global Business Services. We are looking for an expert with functional and organizational knowledge in Controlling / Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A).

The activities in which you would be involved include:

FP&A focus:

• Design Finance operating models, finance processes and next generation digital finance capabilities – specifically in the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) area
• Drive the execution of entity-wide transformation programs, from strategy development to operational implementation
• Advise the finance organization and specifically the FP&A areas on the digitization of finance processes - from strategy development, concept creation and process design to optimization and implementation
• Outline the impact of digitalization on Finance and the FP&A function and how digital technologies can be leveraged to deliver long-term value

Global Business Service (GBS) Controlling focus:

• Prepare benchmark analyses to optimize organizational structures and evaluate operating models as well as global governance structures, e.g. Global Process Owners (GPOs)
• Design and implement Controlling target operating models, incl. global sourcing options like Centers of Excellence (CoE), Shared Service Centers (SSCs) as well as outsourcing partnerships
• Evaluate location strategies and coordinate transitions into centralized service delivery structures

Overall consulting:

• Contribute to the successful delivery of projects with state-of-the-art project management methods
• Use insights and experience of your daily consulting practice to continuously enhance/improve our consulting approaches/ways of working and support the publication of professional articles or presentations on conference
• Proactively manage and maintain client relationships and stay closely connected with industry thought leaders
• Actively shape new solution development linked to new GBS Controlling and FP&A market trends and client needs, e.g. publication of articles or presentations at conferences
• Be an active part of internal teaming and employee developments and engage in shaping our culture

Skills and attributes for success – To qualify for the role you must have

• Minimum of five years of professional experience in consulting, in a large company with a focus on the CFO area or within a corporate FP&A function
• Deep knowledge in the area of digitalization of financial processes - especially in the FP&A area - and applicable market leading tools and enablers
• Experience with organizational design and set-up of Controlling functions, covering HQ Controlling, CoE (center of excellence) and the business partner role of finance
• Proven project management experience and problem-solving skills, with ability to lead and mobilize cross-functional teams and deliver high-impact and -complexity programs
• Analytical skills and precise working methods as well as an empathetic personality with clear objectives and an entrepreneurial mindset
• Completed studies in economics, industrial engineering or business informatics or a comparable course of study
• Very good oral and written communication skills in German and English, further languages are a plus
• Highly motivated and willing to grow within a mentor-oriented culture, carrying an entrepreneurial spirit
• Excellent team player who enjoys working in an inclusive environment
• Strong analytical skills and understanding of business metrics
