Senior ABAP Developer / Entwickler

We are hiring for an international company, the world's market leader with more than 40 years of experience in the development, manufacture and sale of field devices for energy-efficiency control and a great eye for sustainability.

Responsibilities:

• Active participation for developments in SAP
• Conception and implementation of demanding cross-module developments in the SAP S/4 environment and shape the transition from ABAP development to CI/CD with ABAP OO
• Evaluate, adapt, and implement ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model.
• Assess SAP BTP ABAP environment for integration and expansion options in SAP S/4 system.
• Develop new programming guidelines considering ABAP Transition and Clean ABAP Style Guide.
• Provide internal training to the extended SAP team for knowledge transfer on new software processes/technology related to ABAP.

Requirements:

• Computer science training with additional programming training (or equivalent).
• Experience in ABAP, preferably in a logistics setting, along with proficiency in object-oriented programming.
• Familiarity with current software development processes, including DevOps, CI/CD, and agile methodologies.
• Knowledge or willingness to learn about the SAP environment is desirable.
• Enjoys working in a small team of specialists and values being a global partner.
• Excellent written and spoken skills in both German and English
