The opportunity

The EY Parthenon Transaction Strategy and Execution (TS&E) team provides a full range of IT and Operations advice to corporate and private equity clients who intend to acquire, divest, or restructure businesses.  Our services cover M&A Integration, Carve-Out, Operational and IT Due Diligence, Value Creation and Operational Restructuring. The team comprises advisors with specialist operations, IT and deal / transaction experience from industry, advisory and audit backgrounds.

We are seeking to expand our team with IT consultants who work across a range of sectors. As a Senior Consultant in our team, you’ll advise clients across all sectors, supporting key decision makers in developing and executing strategies for transactions, use your experience and enthusiasm to apply your technical skills across the M&A transaction lifecycle; including pre-deal diligence, portfolio review and corporate carve-outs & integrations. Embark on your next journey and join our unique TS&E team to help solve exciting problems on a daily basis!

Your key responsibilities

• In your role as Consultant, you will work on a variety of M&A and strategy related topics focusing on technology, such as IT due diligence, value creation and strategy projects. Typical project scope include IT operating model design, developing IT integration and separation blueprints, defining and agreeing IT TSAs, designing IT day-1 and day-100 plans
• You will be exposed to a variety of industries (e.g. life sciences, manufacturing, consumer products) working directly with corporate and private equity clients across Europe
• You will play a key role in assessing technical information and financials, providing recommendations, and drawing up plans to transform and execute 
• You will implement and execute client recommendation in collaboration with the project teams to fulfill project goals
• You will assist in aspects of business origination and people initiatives (e.g. recruiting)
• You will help maintain professional relationship with our clients at appropriate levels

Skills and attributes for success

• Broad knowledge of aspects of a typical IT function, e.g. Enterprise Architecture, Strategy & Governance, Financials, Applications, Infrastructure and Service Delivery  
• Business administration or basic accounting knowledge
• Sharp logical thinking and exceptional problem-solving skills. Ability to provide insights based on experience on IT aspects of transaction deals that are relevant and valued by clients
• A degree in business, engineering, computer science or related field with top grades
• At least 1-2 years of applicable industry and/or consulting work experience
• Outstanding communication and presentation skills, both verbally and in writing, in English and in at least 2 languages among German, French and Italian
• Ability and willingness to travel
