Senior Java Developer

As part of the Vontobel you will build the next generation investing and financing ecosystem which changes how professional investors perform their daily jobs, seeking and trading new investment opportunities. You will change how investors access and interact with financial markets. We are looking for software engineers that want to be part of the transformation of financial services to help clients to get better futures.

Your Opportunity

• Develop software that excites users and let them enjoy the interaction between human and machine
• Designing, implementing and testing software solutions in the area of engineering, origination, marketing, lifecycle management and trading financial instruments
• Collaborating closely with the development teams, and business in an agile environment
• Develop, scale, and control strategies, standards, guidelines, governance of Continuous Integration systems
• Improve CI/CD tools integration, and full pipeline automation
• Guaranteeing flawless application operation
• Taking on support tasks (2nd and 3rd level)

You bring

• Strong experience in Application Architecture and Design
• Excellence in software development skills in Java, C# .net is a clear plus
• Routine with Openshift containerization and MS SQL Databases; Kafka and Elasticsearch
• Good understanding of web environment (HTTP request/response, state management, caching)
• At least basic development skills in JavaScript and TypeScript, CSS and HTML, are a benefit
• Experience with modern application lifecycle management tools (Git, Visual Studio/Visual Studio Code)

• Self-motivated and seeking for ownership
• Positive thinking, solution oriented, team-player and hands-on
• Very keen on new technologies
• Willing to engage in a changing and flexible environment, with the ability to question the status quo
• Fluent in English, all other languages like German are a plus
