For our client, a global investment management company based in Zug, Swisslinx is looking for a highly customer-oriented Onsite IT Support Engineer to provide quality IT services within a fast-paced work environment. This opportunity is open on a permanent basis including some occasional travels across sites within Switzerland and Europe.
Your responsibilities:
- Providing exceptional high quality support on 1st and 2nd level matters to end-users covering remote support to offices throughout Europe - Supporting desktop technology and applications as well as helpdesk calls including issue resolution - Writing technical documentation - Performing troubleshooting activities in Microsoft Windows, basic networking protocols, Linux OS Microsoft Office Suite, Bloomberg, Reuters, Citrix, RSA, mobile devices, printers and other devices - Contributing with ideas to improve current and future technology - Supporting automated processes within Infrastructure
Your background:
- 5+ years of practical experience in IT Support on 1st and 2nd level at a financial enterprise level including remote support - Familiarity with PC hardware, software, network troubleshooting and deployment practices for desktops - Experience in Citrix infrastructure support as well as in Cisco phone and video conferencing support - Good knowledge of Windows 10 and Microsoft Office 2016/365 - Familiarity with mobile tech including Good for Dynamics, BES12, Intune, Android and iOS devices - Good understanding of ITIL best practices with regards to Incident Management - Knowledge on Webex, Zoom & Skype for Business support including video calls and screen sharing - Experience working with 3rd party vendors - Experience in trade-floor support and trading applications - Willingness to occasionally travel to other European sites - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong customer service orientation - Hands-on approach to the Desktop Support function - Physical ability to lift and carry computers and other equipment - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills as well as the ability to work independently and under pressure - Previous VIP IT Support experience is a plus - Fluent English, French is nice to have
