My client, a Leading Finance Process Program Provider with over 30 years in the industry are looking for a Senior Java Developer to join their Java team. This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong knowledge of Java Backend as well as a good understanding of some Frontend processes to join a friendly and diverse company with clear progression opportunities. This is a company which prides itself on not being as bureaucratic and ungainly as the traditional, colossal institutions.

In this position, you will be:

• Focussing on developing and maintaining the business solutions using Java technologies.
• Analysing, designing as well as implementing business requirements.
• Investigating code defects
• Refining requirements and documentation with a technical perspective
• Integrating software solutions within their existing tech stack
• Liaising with the testing team to help within test plans as well as data configuration

The Ideal Candidate will have:

• 5 years or more in Java & Java-Based development
• Deep knowledge of Software Design Patterns and Object-Oriented Principles
• Solid knowledge of relational databases
• Very good knowledge of Spring frameworks, Hibernate, JPA and JMS
• A working knowledge of Java Frontend, specifically Angular
• Good English communication skills

The perfect Candidate will have:

• GUI Development experience with JavaScript frameworks
• HTML5 experience
• MS SQL Database experience
• Agile development knowledge and experience
• Multicultural sensitivity/awareness
• Experience with TTD (Test-Driven Development)
• Experience with Kotlin based applications
