Commodities EMM Python & C++ Developer

Commodities e-Trading Technology is looking for capable C++ and Python developers to join the team. The team is responsible for advancing and maintenance of our in-house electronic trading system for commodities products - Base Metals, Oil, Agriculturals, Power and Gas. The platform consists of a forward-propagating graph runtime programmable in C++ and Python, a set of libraries that enable building distributed graph applications, a set of core functionality like monitoring, connectivity, pricing and order management protocols and finally electronic trading business logic - tradable instrument models, pricing models and an algorithmic hedger.

Responsibilities:

• Analyse, design, code and debug new features and improvements to the platform
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, help the users of the platform use it efficiently
• Provide expertise and advanced knowledge of applications programming and ensure application design adheres to the overall architecture blueprint
• Participate in developing standards for coding, testing, debugging, and implementation
• Develop comprehensive knowledge of how areas of business, such as architecture and infrastructure, integrate to accomplish business goals
• Mentor and coach developers and analysts
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behaviour, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of relevant experience in an application development role
• Deep knowledge of C++ and/or Python
• Deep understanding of good development practices
• Ability to work with incomplete requirements and work with the big picture
• Ability to work in high pressure environment
• Experience in electronic trading or similar area
• Ability to adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate
• Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
• Knowledge of graph programming is a bonus
• Knowledge of commodities products is a bonus
• Knowledge of exchange connectivity, market data and FIX is a bonus

Education:

• Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
• Master's degree preferred
