Role/ Department: You'll be working in the ETFs Data Quality Assurance Team in Basel. We are the core process responsible for handling corporate actions events within our administrated investment funds.
The key responsibilities of the role include: - Usage and maintenance of our dedicated end user application corporate actions tool (COA)
- Creation of corporate actions dossiers including theoretical and effective plausibility checks and closing controls after completed cash- and stock reconciliation with all involved custodian banks
- Daily calculation of ETF files and daily completion of production procedures, analyzing all index constituents changes, valuation and composition considering strict deadlines
- Consultation and researches with our market data vendors SIX Financial Information, Bloomberg, companies web-sites etc.
- Cooperation with NT FA Luxembourg related to corporate actions and entitlement events
- Contact for internal and external auditors for corporate actions queries
- Solving of cash- and stock breaks with all involved custodian banks
- Ensure daily entitlement events processing and claiming of overdue payments
- Identification and posting of taxable value bonus issues via Event Diary
- Support within launches of news investment funds
- Responsible for affected evidence collection related to our Service Organization Control Report
- Creation and consolidation of monthly KPIs and statistics
- Able to take over subject matter expert duties upon Line-Manager
- Implementation of projects and ad'hoc activities upon Line Manager instructions
Skills/ Qualifications: The successful candidate will benefit from having:
- Bank education with higher or academic background (level not imperative)
- SWIFT knowledge in particular MT566
- in depth knowledge of securities accounting
- broad understanding of financial instrument including derivatives and ETFs
- strong knowledge of Microsoft platform especially excel
- Good command of the German and English language (written and spoken)
- Experience in a fund administration would be a plus
- A team player (but can work independently as well, of course)
- Capable of understanding client's needs and translating them into solutions
- Committed and self-motivated
- Capable to operate effectively also under tight deadlines and support your team
