Embedded Rust Engineer vacancy for our Rotkreuz based client in the Pharma sector.

Your tasks:

Develop concepts and participate in feasibility studies to meet technical requirements.

Perform and take ownership in software development tasks.

Lead work package definition, estimation, and planning, and enhance or document SW unit specifications and designs.

Review designs and contribute to the SW architecture, defining quality attributes and staying updated with technology trends.

Conduct root-cause analysis of complex issues and provide bug fixes for post-market software releases.

Ensure compliance with processes, propose improvements, and stay informed about regulatory and market standards.

Your experience/knowledge:

University degree in Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent

Proven experience as a Software Engineer with a strong focus on Rust

Hands-on experience developing embedded or systems-level software

Experience with real-time Linux (PREEMPT_RT) or a comparable RTOS

Experience with hardware communication protocols: CAN bus

Practical understanding of real-time constraints: latency, jitter, task scheduling

Highly motivated, deadline-focused, with a proactive and thorough way of working

Willingness to work in a regulated environment (medical device, automotive, aerospace or industrial safety)

Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Fluent in English

Nice-to-have:

Experience with IEC 62304, ISO 13485 or IVDR (medical device software lifecycle standards)

Experience with event-driven architectures and message brokers (RabbitMQ, Domain Driven Design)

Kubernetes, Docker for CI/build environments

Experience in agile development environments

German language skills
