Junior Controller, Specialised Private Equity Secondaries Investor, Zurich, Switzerland

About our client

We are partnering with a rapidly growing private equity secondaries investor which is looking for a Junior Controller to join their team in Zurich. This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely alongside senior management within the Finance function and gain a breadth of responsibility across fund finance, operational management, valuation and investor queries as well as significant interaction with external stakeholders and third-party service providers. This position offers a hugely exciting chance to join an emerging investment firm and work within a lean finance function, gaining experience across multiple areas. What the job involves

• Working with the external fund administrator to ensure the quarterly and annual fund accounts are produced accurately and in a timely manner
• Operational management of the funds; financial reporting, cash management
• Interaction with fund managers, investment partners, auditors, administrators, and other internal / external stakeholders
• Support the annual audit process for the funds, including valuation queries
• Support internal workflows and ensure that all applicable deadlines are met
• Support ad-hoc investor queries

Who we are looking for

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or related disciplines
• Experience within financial services; private-equity industry experience is desirable
• Accountancy practice background is preferred
• Ability to quickly learn new software tools
• Proactive hands-on approach; ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
