Sr. Credit Risk Manager (m/w/d)

For our client, a pioneer in its field, we are looking for an open-minded, driven character for the position Senior Credit Risk Manager in Zurich. The position offers a broad and diverse range of tasks within a fast-paced, innovative and collaborative environment. German and English or French is mandatory.

Your Responsibilities

• Support and report to the Senior Credit Risk Management Team
• Monitoring your subsidiary's portfolio performance (loans granted, current exposure, overdue cases, pipeline, etc.) and reporting to the Board and the Risk Management Office;
• Liaising with local regulatory authorities as needed
• Credit analysis of prospects and clients with a view to granting trade finance and currency trading products, with a focus on financials, operations and trading cycles;
• Approval of risk limits for individual clients within the scope of authority delegated to you
• Presenting and defending your analysis in person at credit committee meetings to senior management, including the C-suite
• Cooperation with other teams (i.e. Front Office and Onboarding/Compliance) to ensure a smooth client experience and that decisions made within the Credit Risk team are relayed clearly
• Management of an existing client portfolio, monitoring creditworthiness and the risk/return ratio
• Assistance with the collections process for overdue payments and communication of decisions with relevant parties
• Proactively manage own work pipeline and take responsibility for meeting the SLAs of the whole team

Your Profile

• Professional experience in credit underwriting (10+ years), preferably with background in the SME field, or experience in financial analysis in the Swiss market
• You've been exposed to the collections process for any overdue payments or clients in arrears
• You're equipped with strong knowledge of local accountancy principles as well as a deep understanding of FX markets and associated vanilla products
• Profound knowledge in the use of Excel
• You are known for your clear and concise way of communicating and you have a knack for explaining complex concepts in a coherent way
• Along with your strong problem-solving skills dealing directly with clients comes easily to you
• You're experienced in training others and managing a pipeline
• English and German or French is mandatory
