Business analyst required to support a program delivery team, delivering against regulatory reporting requirements for the financial markets division of this international investment bank.
My client, a leading Australian investment bank, is seeking an experienced Business Analyst with demonstrable knowledge of financial markets products or regulatory reporting requirements.
You will be part of a Program Delivery function that is seeing a significant uptick in new legislation hitting the bank, as such needs to expand its delivery capability.
This role will be based in Sydney, Australia and will suit an Australian / New Zealand citizen that is looking to return to ANZ. Alternatively, sponsorship would be offered for the right person.
Key responsibilities:
- Evaluating business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutions.
- Leading ongoing reviews of business processes and developing optimisation strategies.
- Conducting meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings.
- Performing requirements analysis.
- Documenting and communicating the results of your efforts.
- Effectively communicating your insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management.
- Gathering critical information from meetings with various stakeholders and producing useful reports.
- Ensuring solutions meet business needs and requirements.
- Performing user acceptance testing.
- Prioritising initiatives based on business needs and requirements.
- Serving as a liaison between stakeholders and users.
Experience required:
- Demonstrable experience & knowledge of the financial markets domain including products (equities, commodities, fixed income etc), regulations (MiFID II, FRTB etc) and platforms.
- The ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions.
- Excellent documentation skills.
- Fundamental analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
- Experience creating detailed reports and giving presentations.
- Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- A track record of following through on commitments.
- Excellent planning, organisational, and time management skills.
- Experience leading and developing top-performing teams.
- A history of leading and supporting successful projects.
