Tradition is the interdealer broking arm of Compagnie Financière Tradition and one of the world's largest interdealer brokers in over-the-counter financial and commodity related products. Represented in over 28 countries, Compagnie Financière Tradition is listed on the Swiss stock exchange. The market data team is a fast growing part of the organization supplying real-time, delayed, snapshot and historical data across the full suite of traded instruments from the broking floor. We are looking for motivated individuals to join this fast expanding team.
Key responsibilities within the role include:
- The primary objective of this role is to grow and protect our existing client base
- Work with a defined account list as set out by the regional head of sales. To include a mix of Global Banks, Exchanges, Asset Managers, and Hedge Funds
- Develop strategic approach by client type to further penetrate client’s use of TraditionData.
- Work with various departments within existing client’s organization to understand client’s data usage across all asset classes and expand contact network.
- Work with existing accounts on a post sales basis to ensure TraditionDATA is being used throughout an organization to ensure client renewal.
- Discover new opportunities at existing clients and work with the Data Sales team to achieve annual growth plans.
- Communicate with regional head of Sales and Data sales team findings “usage/opportunities” in a standardized report, provided on a regular basis.
- Keep clients updated in regards to Tradition Data changes and notifications
- Investigate current clients for data usage, licensing discrepancies as required by sales management
- Maintain and assist developing the CRM system and reporting needs
- Aid in the running of sales campaigns for new products and packages
Key experience and attributes to be successful in the role:
- The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills
- Previous experience in a financial markets role beneficial
- Understanding of the market data industry or will work to educate themselves, specifically how client organizations are structured and use market data.
- Be persistent and spend significant time at clients building relationships and understanding market data usage on a detailed level throughout an organization.
- Identify new use cases for TraditionDATA and most importantly, work with clients to ensure TraditionDATA is being used as widely as possible within a variety of departments
