A leading global investment bank is recruiting at the Associate level as their successful Natural Resources platform expands. This bank is a renowned global IB, boasts excellent deal flow globally and offers high deal exposure across M&A, capital markets and financing across the globe, particularly so EMEA and APAC. They boast excellent credentials.

In this capacity you will support the origination and execution of investment banking scenarios across the Natural Resources sector. The team's remit encompasses Oil & Gas, Metals & Mining and Power, Utilities & Renewables. This team offers detailed involvement in all stages of the transaction process, as well as client interaction.

Key tasks

Execution of on-going deals within the group, e.g. M&A transactions, Financing, Capital Markets etc
Supporting senior bankers delivering strategic advice to clients

– Strategic idea generation

– Preparation of pitch book and discussion materials

– Data analysis

– Modelling (operating models, capital models, merger models, LBO, etc.)

Requirements:

A proven background in Investment banking along with relevant transactional experience - Business Services sector experience is advantageous but is not a requirement
Excellent financial modelling experience (operating models, merger models, LBO, etc )
Experience in buy-side and sell-side M&A
Project management
Strong communications skills: ability to interact confidently with banking professionals and clients
Outstanding analytical skills
Team work
