The Investment Engine Technology team at Bridgewater engineers systems to understand the world. These systems synthesize and industrialize our global understanding into a hive mind of macroeconomic knowledge which enables us to educate and collaborate with the world's most influential central banks and policy makers and carefully and strategically manage the world's most important capital. Our technologists are engineering highly available, high performing and highly secure cloud platforms and infrastructure which support and scale our investing operations. Critical Infrastructure Team
Our Critical Infrastructure team provides the core, hybrid-cloud infrastructure technology to enable our Investment Engine business goals and entire company operations. The team is made up of Architects, Engineers and DevOps teams who are building and running all our infrastructure platforms including Cloud Solutions, Physical Data Centers, Networking, Security, Storage, Operating Systems, Databases, and Middleware. Position Responsibilities
As a Critical Infrastructure DevOps Engineer, you will be joining our ongoing and aggressive transformation. We have a huge appetite for change and you will be able to assume as much responsibility as you feel you are able to manage. You will tackle a challenging and varied array of problems in how we gain further maturity in DevOps tools, processes and engineering capabilities. You will be an engineer first and foremost, looking for excellent solutions that offer leverage for the company, not just "quick-fixes." We are focused on hiring exceptionally high performers into our Critical Infrastructure team that really want to drive both their career and the shape of our infrastructure. Preferred Requirements
Bridgewater Associates Company Overview
- Demonstrable experience with a leading cloud provider (Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform)
- Enterprise scale software development and release management experience
- Demonstrable experience with one or several facets of infrastructure (Networking, Compute, Security, IAM, Configuration, Automation, etc.)
- Expert knowledge of at least one programming language (Java, Python, C/C++, Scala, Ruby, etc.)
- Strategic thinking, complex problem solving and analytical capabilities
- A degree in a relevant field (Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering)
- 5+ years professional engineering experience in a relevant role such as Software Engineer, SRE, etc.
