I’m working with a leading global proprietary trading firm that’s expanding its Shanghai engineering team. You’ll design and optimise the globally distributed platform behind its automated trading, working closely with traders and researchers to solve complex, performance-critical problems.

Finance experience is not essential. Strong engineers from technology, infrastructure, gaming, networking, or other high-performance environments are encouraged to apply.

1. Design, build, and deploy services across a globally distributed trading platform.
2. Develop high-throughput, low-latency systems using modern C++.
3. Build automated trading infrastructure that runs machine-learning models on high-performance servers.
4. Improve system performance, reliability, and execution quality.
5. Set architectural direction and own major projects from design through production.
6. Work directly with traders and researchers, with fast feedback on the impact of your work.

1. At least five years of professional software engineering experience.
2. Strong C++ development and server-side engineering expertise.
3. Experience building high-throughput, low-latency, real-time, or performance-critical systems.
4. Strong knowledge of software architecture, system design, and performance optimisation.
5. A genuine passion for technology and solving difficult engineering problems.
6. Strong English communication skills; Mandarin would be highly advantageous.
7. Trading or exchange-connectivity experience is beneficial but not required.
