Senior Vice President - IT Infrastructure

Our client, a leading fintech brokerage, is seeking an experienced IT leader to oversee infrastructure, technology operations, cybersecurity, and technology risk across a mission-critical environment. You will be responsible for ensuring operational resilience, regulatory compliance, production stability, and the availability of trading platforms supporting global markets.

IT Operations
- Oversee backup processes, user access management, pre-trade risk controls, and business continuity/disaster recovery planning, ensuring the stability and availability of critical trading platforms.
- Coordinate technology audits, regulatory reviews, and remediation initiatives to meet compliance requirements.
- Develop and maintain incident response procedures, operational policies, and governance standards.
Technology Risk Management
- Identify, assess, and mitigate technology and operational risks across the production environment.
- Lead incident investigations, perform root cause analysis, and drive corrective actions to improve platform reliability.
- Partner with internal stakeholders and external vendors on matters relating to information security, operational resilience, and technology controls.
Project & Cybersecurity Management
- Lead infrastructure and technology initiatives including platform upgrades, security enhancements, patch management, and system deployments.
- Strengthen cybersecurity controls, access governance, and security monitoring capabilities across trading and business functions.
- Promote technology risk awareness and best practices through training and education programmes.
Infrastructure & End User Support
- Provide oversight of enterprise infrastructure including servers, networks, workplace technology, Microsoft 365, VPN services, and end-user support.
- Ensure timely resolution of hardware, software, and connectivity issues while maintaining high service levels.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- 8+ years of experience in IT operations, infrastructure, or technology management within financial services.
- Strong understanding of trading environments and low-latency systems.
- Hands-on expertise with Windows and Linux servers, networking technologies, and database administration (SQL Server/MySQL).
- Experience implementing cybersecurity controls, business continuity frameworks, and disaster recovery strategies.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements, operational risk management, and production support best practices.
Preferred Experience
- Programming or scripting experience with Python, Java, or similar technologies.
- Exposure to cloud platforms and containerisation technologies.
- Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISA, or ITIL are advantageous.
