The Software Engineer, Java will design, build, enhance, and support enterprise applications for the Red Squadron team while also contributing to solution design, engineering standards, technical mentoring, and delivery leadership within the team.
This role is ideal for an engineer who combines strong Java fundamentals with disciplined execution, sound technical judgment, problem solving, and the ability to work effectively across product, QA, DevOps, and business stakeholders.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will focus primarily on providing high quality, efficient technology solutions to business partners by crafting new software applications or modifying and/or supporting existing packaged or custom-built applications. In this capacity, you'll analyze, code, configure, test, debug, document and maintain applications.

Education:
Undergraduate studies in computer science, management information systems, or other related degree. Technology experience or non-traditional technology certificates can be substituted for an undergraduate degree.
Experience:
Two or more years of analysis and technology experience.
Technical Skills:
Soft Skills & Attributes:
Proficiency in one or more programming language such as Java, C++, Python, JavaScript. Knowledge of software development lifecycle. Proven ability to tackle moderately sophisticated business and development problems. Ability to thrive in a team environment. Insurance/financial services industry knowledge a plus.

Aligned to India business hours with flexibility for global collaboration.

- Analyses, solutions, develops, tests, debugs, documents and deploys software according to standards and best practices.
- Applies secure software and systems engineering practices throughout the delivery lifecycle to ensure our data and technology solutions are protected from threats and vulnerabilities.
- Uses DevSecOps practices, tooling and techniques.
- Drives continuous improvement and learning through ongoing training, practice and innovation.
- Manages project priorities, deadlines and deliverables proactively.
