An established international consumer brand with a strong retail presence across Japan is expanding into food and beverage and is looking for its first dedicated HR Manager for the F&B business.



The Role

• The F&B business is growing fast, and its HR needs have until now been covered from the retail side. This newly defined position gives the F&B organization its own dedicated HR owner.
• You will report directly to F&B business leadership, embedded in the business rather than in a central HR function, and drive all people related activities for F&B store staff.
• Own recruitment for existing and new stores, including market research, building and steering the agency network, and managing the recruitment budget.
• Build the organizational foundations: structures per business unit, roles and responsibilities, career paths, evaluation systems, and compensation frameworks including part time staff.
• Develop store staff training strategies together with external partners, and stay close to the frontline through regular store staff interviews.

Your Skills

• Around 5 years or more of HR or recruitment experience in food and beverage businesses such as cafés, restaurants, or comparable F&B operations.
• Experience in organizational development and building evaluation systems.
• Genuine passion for F&B and for building something new in a scaling business.
• Communication skills and the initiative to work across departments and with external partners.
• Flexibility and a trial and error mindset.
• Business level English
