Business Transformation Manager / Senior Manager
About the Role
As a Business Transformation Senior Manager, you will be a delivery manager within the Business Transformation Office (BTO), accountable for the day-to-day execution of transformation workstreams and mid-size engagements. Working under the direction of a Transformation Lead or directly with the Transformation Director on smaller initiatives, you will translate solution designs into structured delivery plans and drive them to completion - on time, on scope, and with measurable outcomes. You will manage Business Transformation Analysts, own workstream-level stakeholders, and act as the operational engine that turns transformation strategy into results. This role is ideal for a strong delivery leader who is developing towards a Transformation Lead / Associate Director career path.
What You'll Do
1. Workstream and Engagement Delivery
- Own delivery of one or more transformation workstreams within a larger programme or lead mid-size standalone engagements end-to-end.
- Build and maintain detailed delivery plans: milestones, dependencies, resources, RAID logs, and status.
- Drive execution discipline - track progress against plan, remove blockers, escalate risks early, and keep the workstream on time and on budget.
- Run project governance for the workstream: working groups, status meetings, checkpoint reviews, and steering committee inputs.
- Ensure delivery quality: adherence to BTO methodology, templates, and quality standards on every artefact produced.
2. Solution Design and Process Transformation Support
- Contribute to solution design under the direction of the Transformation Lead - process discovery, current-state mapping, future-state Target Operating Models, and RACI matrices.
- Facilitate process discovery and improvement workshops.
- Produce end-to-end process maps and process documentation to a professional standard.
- Contribute to business case development: gathering data, populating financial models, running scenario analysis, and drafting recommendations under the Transformation Lead's guidance.
- Support the identification and evaluation of automation and AI opportunities within assigned workstreams.
3. Stakeholder Management and Change
- Act as the primary day-to-day contact for business stakeholders at Director / Senior Director level within the assigned workstream.
- Prepare and deliver clear, well-structured updates for senior stakeholders and steering committees - status, risks, decisions required, next steps.
- Partner with Change Management, PMO, BSO delivery, and IT teams to ensure smooth integration and adoption of solutions.
- Support post go-live stabilisation and hypercare, tracking adoption, benefits realisation, and issue resolution.
4. Performance Tracking and Continuous Improvement
- Own workstream-level KPIs: delivery on time and on scope, quality of artefacts, adoption, and realised benefits versus baseline.
- Track and report on realised savings, efficiency gains, and automation benefits within the workstream.
- Identify improvement opportunities in BTO methodology and ways of working; feed lessons learned back to the team.
What You'll Need
- 5-8 years of relevant experience in business transformation, operating model design, GBS/SSC transformation, project delivery, or management consulting.
- Strong track record of delivering transformation workstreams or projects end-to-end, on time, on scope, and with measurable outcomes.
- Experience contributing to business case development, financial modelling, and cost-benefit analysis.
- Confident stakeholder management; strong written and spoken executive communication in English.
- Comfortable using GenAI tools to accelerate delivery, research, and analysis; interest in intelligent automation and agentic AI.
