We are looking for a Java Developer to work on high-throughput trading systems within a global investment bank. This role sits close to post-trade operations, building and optimizing platforms where performance matters.

Responsibilities

1. Design and develop low-latency Java applications supporting post-trade processes
2. Optimize system performance across GC, threading, memory allocation, and network I/O
3. Build and maintain real-time services processing high message and transaction volumes
4. Work closely with traders, quants, and electronic trading teams to deliver performance-critical features
5. Analyze and resolve latency bottlenecks across application, JVM, and OS layers
6. Ensure systems are resilient, fault-tolerant, and production-ready
7. Participate in production support for latency-sensitive systems

Requirements

1. Strong commercial experience in Java (Java 8+) and AWS
2. Deep understanding of JVM internals, garbage collection, and memory management
3. Strong experience with concurrency, lock-free or low-lock designs
4. Solid Linux knowledge, including performance tuning and troubleshooting
5. Strong SQL and experience with relational databases
