Our client is a leading global consultancy delivering some of the UK's most complex Defence, Nuclear, Infrastructure and Government programmes. Due to continued growth, they are seeking Risk and Project Controls professionals at all levels, from Risk Analyst through to Associate Director, across Bristol, London, Manchester, Birmingham and Sheffield.



The ideal candidate will have experience in Risk Management, Project Controls or Programme Delivery, with exposure to areas such as risk registers, risk workshops, stakeholder engagement and Quantitative Risk Analysis (QRA). Experience within Defence, Nuclear, Infrastructure, Construction or Government environments is highly desirable.




Working Patterns and location - Hybrid - 2-3 days on site per week




Key responsibilities



• Support the delivery of risk management activities across complex projects and programmes.



• Facilitate risk identification and assessment workshops with project teams and key stakeholders.



• Maintain risk registers and produce clear, accurate risk reporting.



• Conduct Quantitative Risk Analysis (QRA) to support informed decision-making.



• Contribute to integrated project controls activities, including cost, schedule and risk management.



• Support the development and implementation of risk management processes, governance and assurance activities.



• Provide risk insight to support programme planning, business cases and strategic decision-making.



• Build effective relationships with clients, project teams and senior stakeholders to drive successful programme outcomes.




Skills & experience



• Demonstrable experience in Risk Management within complex project or programme environments.



• Experience maintaining risk registers and producing high-quality risk reporting.



• Ability to facilitate risk workshops and engage effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.



• Knowledge of Quantitative Risk Analysis (QRA) and risk management methodologies.



• Experience working within Project Controls, Programme Controls or major project delivery environments.



• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.



• Experience within Defence, Nuclear, Infrastructure, Construction, Transportation or Government sectors would be advantageous.




The client would also like to see some of the below, but this is not essential:



• Knowledge of recognised risk management frameworks and industry best practices, including ISO31000.



• Experience using risk management tools such as ARM, Primavera Risk Analysis (PRA), Safran Risk, @Risk, or similar platforms.



• Understanding of cost, schedule and risk integration within a Project Controls environment.



• Experience producing risk dashboards, reporting and management information using Power BI or similar tools.



• Relevant professional qualifications or certifications in Risk Management, Project Management or Project Controls would be beneficial.



• Previous experience working within a consultancy, advisory or client-facing environment is advantageous.
