Dan Butcher is the New York-based Americas editor at eFinancialCareers, which he joined in 2015.

Previously, he was assistant managing editor at InvestmentNews, Crain Communications’ financial-adviser-focused publication, and wrote for a number of SourceMedia publications, including Financial Planning and On Wall Street. Prior to that, he worked as associate interactive editor at Ignites and FundFire, the Financial Times sister publications covering asset management and wealth management. He started his career as a travel writer. Dan earned his Bachelor’s degree, Cum Laude, from the University of Colorado at Boulder and his Master’s degree from New York University.

Dan's favorite authors include Cervantes, Kafka and Borges, his favorite film director is Stanley Kubrick, and his taste in music ranges from rock and blues to jazz and hip-hop.
